Seaward electric range model 3347

I would like to remove the top glass of the range to access the thermal fuse: how should I proceed to prevent any damage to the glass ?

Well, I/we know Force 10 bought out Princess. Did Seaward buy out Force 10? I want 3 new burner pans.
