I'm in the Miami area for a few more days and again daydreaming about a trawler live aboard. Yesterday we were strolling along the seawall at Coconut Grove, and the wife was asking what sort of boat I was daydreaming about. Of course I saw nothing similar there.

Where would be the best place in the area to see some boats such as Selene's or Nordhavn's? Would any of the brokers in the miami, Ft L, West Palm areas be likely to have some we could go aboard? I know with the holiday they likely wouldn't be open but still..might be worth a drive by even if just to peak through the fence to show her what I was thinking.

Selene has a basebin Stuart with a lot of boats on site. So does grand banks.

thanks!

I had searched Selene and thought that they didn't have a corporate presence here.

I'll see if I can find those and make it work to swing by!

can't find selene, but I see Kadey Krogen in Stuart. By the looks of it on the map the pier is long and so I'm guessing I wouldn't be able to see much from the outside tomorrow (since the office is sure to be closed New Years day)
but still might be worth a drive by

seems like Stuart might be the place to poke around then.

When I search for selene on google maps I keep getting pointed to a place in Lauderdale (1515 SE 17th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316). Get make sense of what that is...must be a brokerage place I suppose

I never made it by North Palm but we did swing through Stewart on the way North. The Fleming place had their gate up and I could see from the highway there was no way to get close so I never slowed.

Did see a few nice examples at the marina just under the North end of the bridge. Saw one Kadey Krogen, several beautiful Flemings and one example of a Selene, although it was a much bigger one than I was hoping to see. Being a holiday of course I didn't even try calling anyone for the one Fleming that's for sale to see if we could take a quick look.

Thanks to everyone for the pointers. I was finally able to lay eyes on some examples!
Surprised to have not seen anything in this class of boats down around Miami or really anywhere else in my limited travels in coastal areas.

Lots of shinny clorox bottles, go fasts and serious sportfishers around Miami. Trawlers are too dull.
Some nice sailing craft too. Biscayne bay was one of my favorite places to sail.
