Roughwater

Considering buying a 1978 55' Roughwater. Curious if the fuel tanks in these boats are stainless steel? Engine hours look pretty good. Decks could use work. I'm sure this is a major project, but curious if there are any other concerns/things to look out for on these?

I doubt the fuel tank is stainless steel...Nor do you want SS as a fuel tank material

My 1980 41 Pilothouse has mild steel tanks. I think that is all they used during that time period.
