A question for those who have re-engined a Bluewater 40 with the twin Bedford 330s: what engine did you select and were you satisfied with your choice? Thanks.

I have a single Bedford, it’s a really good runner. What’s up with yours?

Have you been able to locate and purchase parts for your engine? I suspect this engine will need a new head gasket at a minimum. I’m thinking further ahead with the replacement.

I have indeed gotten parts for it. Need to plan ahead, order from the UK. I have a complete gasket set on hand for it. Most things are available, but it’s getting harder to find some of the specific marine versions of the parts. Things can be custom fabricated though.

Just a note on purchasing from the UK. I recently ordered an exhaust elbow ( for Perkins Sabre) from a supplier there, part was about $800 USD with shipping. Enroute I got a notice from DHL that I owed $257 in duties (read tarrifs), a nasty surprise.
