Does anyone know of a replacement drawer refridgerator/freezer for a Mainship 34 Trawler (2008)? It currently has a Vitrifrigo DW180RFX. Defender sent me to Vitrifrigo and I can't get anyone to return my calls. Defender has a different model which I thought was the newer model but it is larger. I am totally OK with another brand. Thanks so much!

We had a Vitrifugo in our last boat. It worked well once I got adequate ventilation around it. In our current boat we replaced the Nevercold with an Isotherm and absolutely love it.

How about the Vitrifrigo DRW 180A? This is one of the slightly newer series where you can configure each drawer separately to be freezer/freezer, refrigerator/freezer, freezer/refrigerator, or refrigerator/refrigerator. It also has a digital thermostat on the outside by the handle (not sure how the old Drawer 180 did it).

This has the same depth and height as your old Drawer 180. The width of the new model is 3/16" narrower than your old one.

I like that you can configure it how you want to vs. the older one that had the sections "pre-decided" for you and you couldn't change them.

PS: They somewhat confusingly call the new DRW "all in one" but it still has two separate drawers. They just mean you can make either drawer be refrigerator and/or freezer at will.

Hi Frosty,
I was thinking that was a newer model but could not confirm with Vitrifrigo. I measured the old one and the width was an inch off. I figured it would not fit. I could take space out of the cabinet but the height was off too. Since it goes under the corian countertop, I figured this one would not fit. Thanks.

It's possible you are measuring differently than they are (perhaps?). They usually have one measurement for the "body" and another for the (wider) flange. (But the flange doesn't have to fit into the "hole"; it just overlaps the cabinetry to cover the crack.)

Vitrifrigo's catalog (downloadable at their site) has good line drawings. Sure Marine has them too, usually "translated" into inches.

Here's a link to the DRW 180A page on Sure Marine. Scroll down for detailed line drawing/measurements.

Sure marine in Seattle maintains a decent list of marine refers comparing size etc. Maybe this link will help.
