Interesting. That appears to be a pressure switch. Reading refrigerant pressure? Once properly set, you wouldn’t need to readjust that. If the pressure is too low you may need a recharge.

Thanks Guru,

I have played with the settings because it was not cycling properly and I thought I had put it back to where it has always been over the 6 years, we have lived onboard so was hoping someone would say that the setting looks OK or if someone has the instructions for this type of system. Fridge is cooling OK, but freezer is only at or above 0 deg showing on a cheap thermometer.

The Utech system serving separate fridge and freezer cabinets on my previous IG had an inline valve located in the lazarrette to adjust the refrigerant volume going to the cockpit located freezer cabinet. Changing that might affect the refrigerant available to the fridge cabinet.

I think the fridge mechanic who replaced the compressor said the new one was good for 5-6 years.

Thanks Bruce. Our system is a fridge/freezer upright in galley with freezer on bottom fridge above. Still waiting for someone to tell me the correct settings to use on the pressure switch in pic.

I see. Sorry I can`t help with the settings. There is probably still some splitter system to feed fridge and freezer. Surely someone knows the settings. Maybe one for the GB Forum?
