I’ve recently looked at few different North Pacific trawlers (38/42/43), and surprisingly, every single one had some degree of window leakage, from minor seepage to pretty major leaks.

Is this a common issue with these boats? I’m trying to figure out whether it’s a design flaw or just a case of neglected maintenance over the years. Would love to hear from current or past owners about your experience.

Don't know how much help I can be, my boat is a newer 45. A 2022 to be exact. I haven't had any leaking, whatsoever, on my boat. And we've has some torrential costal storms recently. I can't say if my windows are different than the older boats though.

No leaks on our 2020 45.

Are you sure they’re leaking? I know my windows don’t leak, but do condensate heavily in certain conditions. Enough to run down and stain the woodwork in certain places. It likes to gather in the low spots and run down. I run dehumidifiers in the winter to stop this from happening, but the staining was there from previous owners.

Fair enough. Pilothouse window was leaking. Galley slider looks like clogged drains.

I had a 2005 NP and window leak front, left pilothouse window
