Looking for some advice on how to keep our salon window weather stripping from leaching black stain down the outside of the salon from rain or sea spray on our 2000 Sabreline 48' Aft Cabin. Does anyone have any idea what I can put on the weather stripping to help preserve the material? It's dripping down the side of the fiberglass and it's hard to remove - Magic Erasure and elbow grease mainly.
I'm attaching a couple of photos where you can see the after effects of cleaning it off - now I have to figure out how to repolish that area!
Perfect Fit is now in St Thomas, USVI. We were formerly boating in the Chesapeake and didn't have this problem, but I'm thinking perhaps the continual sun and heat may be making this more of an issue.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
