Hi - looking to replace a burnt out panel light from a 1980s vintage trawler. Looking for something similar to the one in the photo. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
The indicator lights are a complete assembly. There is no bulb to replace. You need to take out the old lights and splice in the new. The indicator lights are pushed in from the front of the panel and friction holds them in place.
I recently rewired a panel and replaced the ac and dc bulbs that were used in some of the Taiwan built electrical panels from the late 70's/80's. NewMar was one company. They fit a 0.30" or 7.6 mm hole. The red DC’s are rated for 28 VDC but are wired to 12 VDC so they aren't too bright. The orange AC’s are rated for 240 VAC but are wired to 120 VAC for the same reason.
The panel on our boat uses the same spec lights as in previous post, but with a flat top lens. Mouser electronics carried them as of three years ago. The Mouser part number for red is 606-2194A1-28v. Catalogue should be on line. Manufacturer's part number is the same (minus the 606).
