Sounds like a great plan Kevin. I can probably help arrange a slip in my marina in San Diego on Harbor Island right across from the airport. There might be a few SD folks who would like to grab a beer or dinner with you and your wife and hear some stories of your adventures. LMK if you are interested in either.
That sounds wonderful, Thanks! !!! We love meeting fellow boaters and sharing sea stories about big waves, and bigger fish!!!

We are On track to catch a weather window in Feburary and run 24X7 up the Baja to Ensenada where we will stop for a bottom paint job, before heading North in early March.

After groaning about being charged for 50 feet at marinas, I finally accepted it and now I tell people I have a 50 foot boat.
It's funny jut how big boats really are. From the factory our 47 foot hull boats as you know measured almost 54 feet OAL.

I removed the bow pulpit and got ours down to 51'

Just don't try and keep up with Kevin on Margarita's! No, I don't want to talk about it.:nonono:

Vicky sells hot dog and hamburger buns to the hot dog carts that operate in town. If you eat at a hot dog cart she probably supplied the bun, as she has something over 80% of the market share.

On any given day she makes between 5 and 10 thousand hot dog buns.

We try to make sure nobody leaves our dock parties sober.
The other day we invited someone we had just met and he told us that our parties were infamous.

I was pretty proud :)

Two great bakeries near the central district are Amelier 21 Centro and La Masa. Both are VERY good!

I lived in Newport, Oregon for a couple of years and there are many fantastic coastal attractions within an hour or less.

we are now less than two weeks out from departing and down to watching for weather windows, even though we're still at the very edge of the forecast

The plan is to leave on about February 1 in the afternoon, making an overnight run to San Jose Del Cabo, where we pick up fuel.

Then while the weather is permitting, we will run 24 seven which is approximately four days to Ensenada.

If the weather kicks up, of course we pull in and hide just like any other Plan.

Once in Ensenada, we will get the bottom painted and start our adventure of the coast

Maybe too early but Cabo on the 23rd looks good with a move to Mag Bay on the the 24th.

Yes, but a bit too early. I have a contractor finishing up the AFT flybridge canvas.
