The autopilot pump seal failed with the oil running down off the flybridge staining the fiberglass. With little or no gel coat, the oil has been absorbed by the fiberglass. Tried an abrasive liquid cleaner with no effect. Any ideas?

Assume you have tried all the "off the shelf" cleaners, buffing compound etc.
On marble a repeated application and removal of a paste of plaster of paris and white gas is effective for oil based stains, plaster and hydrogen peroxide for organics. Not sure if it will be able to pull the oil back out of the resin. Maybe test a small area.

I have a small steamer that I used for cleaning the bilge. Worked pretty good. Cost $70 on Amazon.

Really? I have a filthy section of bilge I want to work on. Never thought about steam.

I use the steamer and a shop vac and suck up the water as I go.

Forgot to say that I put some Extreme Simple Green in the steamer mixed into the water.

Try K2R it's great for lifting oil and diesel stains out of teak. It's a dry cleaning product found in the supermarket.
