Can you describe what's bad about the Polyform units? They do look a bit flimsy, to me...

We don't have baskets, so we just store a couple of tube-style fenders inside near the bow, tied to the rail on each side. Very elegant. Not.
I've been occasionally thinking about adding a couple of 2-holers on each side... but I haven't seen much in the way of pre-fab'd product that rings my chimes.

As you can see below, the Polyform rail mounts secure the holders with little plastic disks that screw down to clamp onto the wire frames. When mounted outside the railings, all four of our holders broke free of the disks in a head sea. I don’t think it would be a problem if you mounted them inside the railing.
