Fresh water moorage available. Side tie, 85' available at a private residence just off of the Calossahatchee Canal. 26°47'47.4"N 81°17'25.7"W
The shallowest we've seen between the Caloosahatchee Canal and our dock is 6.5', and that was when the water was lower than it normally is. If you were to brush the bottom, it is all silt.
The canal is 75' across, but with boats on both sides, we're limiting beam to 16.5' max.
Not a full time liveaboard slip, but short stays getting ready for, and returning from trips okay with prior coordination. Limited parking available.
$10.00/measured foot/month (including swim step and anchor pulpit).
We also require that you have us added as “named insured” on your boat insurance. That's simple to do, and no extra charge from your insurance.
50 and 30 amp metered electricity available. Charge is actual cost/kwh billed.
Not a marina, and no pool or other amenities,
Pro's:
Fresh water
No storm/hurricane surge to contend with (we are at least two locks above sea level)
No fetch for wind waves to build
Quiet neighborhood, dead end street
LaBelle (25 minutes) has Super Walmart, Winn Dixie, Ace Hardware, multiple restaurants and other stores.
Access to the Gulf of Mexico via the Caloosahatchee Canal, (8 hours at 6.5kts) 2 days to the Dry Tortugas
Access to Atlantic via the St. Lucie Canal (2days in at 6.5kts) 3 days to the Bahamas
Cons:
No amenities except water and electric
No pump out, but one is available nearby
58 minutes to Fort Myers International Airport
We're 25 minutes from the nearest restaurant (in LaBelle), except for Ortona Tavern, a 5 minute walk, which has drinks and sandwiches.
Closest Home Depot or Lowes is 1 hour away (Fort Myers, Okeechobee, or Sebring)
Nearest Sam's Club (1) or Costco (2 stores) are 1 hour away in Fort Myers
Nearest West Marine is also Fort Myers, but it is a LARGE store.
Give me a shout if you want more info. PM via TF conversations for phone #, etc.
