We have a 1977 Mainship 34 MK1 (Hull #1) and are replacing the a/c. Would like to replace the side vents and collector boxes while we have the a/c removed and have access (at least on that side) but have been unable to find the right size. Our current openings are 12 1/4” x 3 3/4”. All the vents we’re able to find, some are good for measurement but not for the other. For those of you with a MK1, what have you’ve replaced them with ? We really do not want to have to fill the opening in and paint the entire side of the boat nor do we want to frame the opening…….afraid it would look rather strange.
Thanks

When we rebuilt our model 1 34, I just painted vents with a can of spray paint because they weren't in bad shape, just yellowed from age. I found this site and bookmarked it in case I ever needed new vents because they were as close to original as I could find but thankfully we never needed to replace them.
