Hi, I hope someone can help me. I’ve noticed that MV Mosey 2004 Custom LRC 70’ steel hulled trawler was listed for sale through NEFF Yacht sales however it is no longer available.
I assume it sold. I am an internationally, appraised artist, and I painted a small portrait of Mosey.
I noticed that it was still mounted on a wall between the main salon and the galley. The interior of the boat needs a lot of work to finish it. If anyone knows who the new owners are, I would really like to let them know the value of the work so that they may cherish and preserve it. I don’t want it back necessarily. Also, if they could send me a picture of it, I would really appreciate it. It should be insured for about $25,000 by now. My fear is that it would be damaged or destroyed. You can barely see it in this photoon the dividing wall on the left facing one of the windows.

Maybe give NEFF a call or email?

NEFF doesn’t know anything about it other than it is not available. Something to do with the yacht world listing being taken down but not on their site that’s why it still reads for sale. Thanks so much for replying.

Have a look at Marine Traffic. There are several boats by that name, including this candidate.

That looks like a (fiberglass) Fleming, perhaps? But, what a great idea for an alternative way to look (y)

In the same vein, you could try the US Coast Guard lookup for documented vessels:

(Though the longest Mosey I found was 62')
And there's Vessel Finder, and undoubtedly others. The different AIS search engines have different areas of coverage and different voids in their coverage.

Each of these search engines has its limitations: USCG needs the boat to be US-flagged and documented, MT and VF need the boat to have and use AIS. And occasionally Google will turn up good results, especially if you have additional information, e.g. owner's name. You keep at it until you find what you want or lose interest.

Thanks soooo much for the helpful info. The last AIS location tracked was in May. I found out it was splashed in Spring out of Oasis Boat Yard and Marina. Maybe it’s sold and the new owner will pop up. I just worry that it will sit in dry dock. No one is going to spend the money, finishing it, and my painting will decay along with the rest of the boat.😢 the hull is not everyone’s cup of tea for sure and there are a lot of really nice looking boats out there completely turn key and very salty were probably less money. Just looking I came across a few Diesel Ducks. It was painfully tempting. 🤣
