Looking for Bronze Fuel cap with "Diesel" on it

Had recent insurance survey. A few things to address, one is that the surveyor noted fuel fills do not have "Diesel" label stamped on them.
Boat has the standard Bronze screw in with a key type caps. Did a search on line and did not find any bronze caps with "Diesel" stamped in them, and I'd rather not replace the whole filler assembly. Suggestion?

Get a set of metal stamps, a hammer and a chunk of 2x4. Bore a hole in the wood to accept the cap threads.

Hammer in diesel and be done.

Get an etching tool and inscribe it yourself

Take the existing cap to your local blacksmith, you would be surprised you likely have one, and the craftsmen there should be able to stamp it for you. Call first.

As an alternative you can buy a set of letter stamps from Amazon for about $20 and stamp it youself.

You can also get a shop such as one dealing with signage to router the lettering and then infill with black enamel paint. Costs a bit more than stamping but superior IMO

The designations "Fuel," "Water" and "Waste"should be etched into the flanges of the fittings, not on the caps, and shouldn't be except for redundancy because caps can get lost. If you think the fuel fill should specify "diesel" you can have a metal "name tag" made to put next to the fill.

Go to a sign shop and have a name tag made out of UV resistant material and then epoxy it to the fuel cap. Have them make it in yellow and rough up both before glueing them together.

OR go to a craft fair and talk to the folks who sell laser etched Chistmas ornaments, and similar items. They will have a machine at home that can etch the caps. Probably cost you $10 apiece.
We had floor tiles etched that way by a local person in our neighborhood. Cost me $20 per tile but it eas a whole scene plus wording and a compass rose.

can use a label maker. I label a lot of stuff on my boat anyway..... If you don't have one, they come in handy.
