King salmon fly fishing, WA OR.

A friend from Ireland is travelling from BC down the coast to CA in late August and would like to fly fish for chinook (king) salmon in a river.

Any WA, OR location ideas or online resources I can pass along?

Always wanted to do a guided drift boat on the Rogue Riv Or. Scenery is spectacular and when we were there for a jet boat ride we definitely saw folks catching.
The jet boat ride is also worth doing.
I'm not sure when the best timing would be and worth checking.

I would agree on the Rogue River. Jet boat ride up river was fun too.
