Good Morning,
We have the original 1985 Westerbeke 12.5 KW genset that fires up no problem and yields a residual 3.5v; however, we cannot get it excited to produce the needed 110v
I have checked the capacitors (though the lead wire seems stiff) and the rectifier which indicated proper function. there is no indication of the windings being compromised.
the genset was working fine 10 years ago but has been sitting since.
I am wondering if I am missing a simple step somewhere?
any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated!
