Insurance choice?

All else in quote, price, and wording being more or less equal, Dolphin Insurance or Navis?

This is for a Nordhavn starting from the west coast with plans to eventually head to the Mediterranean.

Just looking for opinions and recent experiences customer service wise.

Neither for me. I had Dolphin when they were reasonably priced and Power/sail squadron discount, so I was a customer and then asked for a quote on a new to me boat and wow.
I am with Cowan.

I was a Dolphin customer 2012 to 2019, then on to Navis. At that time I had a new survey and Navis wanted the business more than Dolphin. I'm sure they trade customers regularly by being aggressive with new inquiries.

No claims ever and no need to even call the broker in over 40 years except once in 2022 to have the City of N. Van. added as Additional Insured so I could overnight on their dock. It was painless, although I passed on the dock.

Both at least for me were/are using certain Syndicates at Lloyds as the underwriter.
Your price from the Broker appears to depend on the Broker's mood that day and their markup as they are both selling the same thing.

My premium has basically doubled in those 13 years.

New survey required next year, so we get to do the same dance again! I detest insurance.
