Hello to all
I´m Toni from Austria, we own a old Antares and make a complete renovation on it.
Because it's something like a small trawler, I hope it's ok to join here ;)

greets, Toni

Welcome Toni! I don't have a boat yet -- my initial dream was purchase in Australia, explore the Whitsundays, Great Barrier Reef, and eventually join the annual trek to Indonesia, which I hope to explore by boat some day. Alas, it seems I need more experience, so my current plan is centered around doing the Great Loop in a year or two, and use that experience as a steppingstone... I have not given up the dream as a U.S. citizen of boating in Australia. Where in Australia do you take (or hope to take) your Antares?

Austria, not Australia. Easy to misread one for the other, but very different places. Almost directly opposite each other on the globe.

As the T shirts say, "There are no kangaroos in Austria"
Welcome aboard! We love Austria, my grandparents were Austrian my brother in law too,. We flew there multiple times when Lauda Air was doing one stop direct flights before Austrian Airlines took over and messed up. Last visit we finally drove the amazing Gross Glockner.
Hope the renovation goes well.

Thanks for the welcome,
And yes, we have no kangoroos but we have the Mountains and Mozart 😅
Ones the renovation of the boat is ready it will be transported to croatia in the med.
We go there 4-6 times a year for holiday on the boat. That's how we Do it since 20 Years ore so.
To renovate a Boat is a little difficult in Austria because of nearly no Shops and no other owners. Boating is not a big hobby in Austria, just like icing in australia i think😅
Greets, Toni
