I am moving back to the PNW in March and I'm considering a trawler to be used as a charter/live aboard. I have owned boats since 1993 and have extensive skills in repairs and maintenance, wood, fiberglass, mechanical, as I have owned and operated a charter fishing service on the East Coast for that time period. I am a lifetime professional mariner, but I have never lived aboard a boat I have owned. I will mostly be on my own outside of visits by my significant other on occasion. I only intend to live on the boat from March-November. I am hoping to find something in the $50k range with a single diesel and fiberglass bottom--the less wood, the better. Thoughts and advice are appreciated, even if the advice is to go rent an apartment!
