Hello from NORTH VANCOUVER

Hello fellow trawler folks.
My name is Jack Oerlemans, and my wife Leslie and I are the proud owners of "Kalani". She is a beautiful well maintained Grand Banks 36 Classic.
Our boat was built in February 1974, and she came equipped with a single John Deere 6404 Diesel. She has quite the history and I even found photos of her back in the early 1970 era in the Grand Banks magazine "Spray". She had gold plated hatch pulls and railing latches and her owner was one of the founding members of Grand Yachts in Vancouver B.C.
Hope to catch up with trawler folks on the water and look forward to being part of this group.

No she was owned by Derek Pinton. He owned her for a long time and kept her at the bayshore

Welcome aboard and congratulations on Kalani. We know her well and have spent many, many fine times aboard when she was in Derek's capable hands. We own Unicorn V (1981 36CL hull 633), keeping her at Thunderbird Marina.

Our plans will bring us into the gulf islands and probably up to as far as comox and Jedediah, but really, we go where Kilani leads us

Yes, WELCOME ABOARD. I think I remember Unicorn V from when it was at Burrard Yacht Club more than a few years ago now, Slip 1 on A dock.
