Hi,
Thank you so much for your warm welcome and very happy to join the communauty, with apologizes concerning my broken american english...
We are owner of North Sea Trawler 57' OC, a Dutch steel built passagemaker and trying to prepare the dream of our boating life ( more than 30 years in Europe, Atlantic, Med and Caribean): do the Great Loop and discover America.
As french and Normans, we would be very happy to met American people.
We do not know at the moment if the boat will be shipped from Palma to Fort Lauderdale or if we will cross Atlantic on our keel. I know well Caribean and I prefer arrive directly near Bahamas and Florida before starting the Loop.
Our engine is a John Deere 6081 AFM 75 M1 heavy duty with a get home hydraulic system. we have stabs and most of the gear to live aboard.
Now we must prepare our Cruising permit and visas to be have permission to enter in US waters and travel to the north and further Canada, Great Lakes.
So much to see!
I will try to post some pictures of our trawler.
