We recently sold our 44' Palagic Pilot house trawler...A trusted friend...slow and reliable...Life changes and we moved away from the west coast of Canada seeking more space...(less ferries...we were on Vancouver Island)...We haven't thrown in the towel with the boater life style....but we are going after it from a different direction..We are in the process of finding a large trailerable vessel ...30' or less....something salty...we have some huge lakes close by (200 miles long)...and the coast is a long days drive away if the salt water beckons us...(Or the need to put some Halibut in the freezer)...we will be looking for something 'semi - displacement"....we realize stability won't be the same as our previous vessel ( full displacement)....but look forward to a shallower draft and the ability to get moving if we find the need...we fortunately own a big diesel truck that will be capable of transport without much issue...
Ranger tug maybe. ?...or a nordic tug...any comments in this regard would be a bonus to us as we are just starting our search...Thanks....Wes

Welcome to TF, and good luck with your search. :flowers:

Greetings, eh?
Welcome aboard. You might try searching the archives for "Trailerable Trawler" or similar. This question has come up before. Have fun, kids.

Welcome. I ended up with this Mainship 30 Pilot II when I downsized, but she's just a tad to large at 13,000 pounds (hardtop model) and 10 feet wide to go trailerling with, at laest non-commercial type trailering.
