For those of you familiar with the small boat ramp at the NW end of the harbor, at the end of Randall Rd, you'll know that there is very limited vehicle+trailer parking when launching. Like maybe a half dozen spots or so. Does anyone know if you can just park on Randall itself, obviously just not blocking any driveways?

Mako,

Not exactly an answer but maybe a reasonable alternative: The Point Defiance Launch ramp, only 5 miles away as the duck swims, has lots of trailer space. Just drive down Pearl St. like you are going on the Vashon Ferry, but don't.

Appreciate that @AlaskaProf.

Defiance has nice ramps with tons of parking which completely overfills during salmon season too.

Back to Gig Harbor, I just got off the phone with police dept., parking is fine as long as not in a posted area or blocking traffic.

Generally the overflow parking goes up 89th -vs- Randall Dr.

Depending on what you are doing and if you live in town (or close enough for this to make sense) it might be worth dropping the boat in and tying up at the Jerecich Dock for the weekend -vs- putting in and taking out on a busy day.

I used to do it as I mention on a Friday afternoon when the ramp was "slow" and have the weekend without having to worry about parking or tides as that ramp is marginal below +3' depending on how much draft you need.

I trailer boated here for 10 years before moving to a boat in a slip.

Just took a look at 89th. I like it. That nice dirt shoulder provides plenty of length. Thx
