Ford Lehman 2715E Rebuild

Hi,

My SP120 is in need of an overhaul. At a minimum it will require re-honing of the cylinders and re-ringing of the pistons. Repowering is not an option.

I am in need of recommendations for diesel shops in the area of Charleston, SC to Savannah, GA.

Ask Brian about the head bolt replacement. Have heard that you should NOT reuse head bolts on Lehmans.

You can retension head studs on a 120 but not a 135. That would suggest reusing head studs but for sure, ask Brian.

Ford Lehmans are basically truck engines, so any old school engine overhaul shop should be able to do it for you. If you feel like shipping your engine to Europe and getting an overhauled engine in return for a reasonable price, contact De Schiffart in Minnertsga, the Netherlands. I bought 2 overhauled engines from them, they are now in my boat, running perfect.
