Greetings! I am a new owner of a 1980 CHB Trawler. I'm making my "to do" list and one of the upgrades I want to tackle is a fuel filter set up. I've read some of the posts here on the Raco, Fleet Guard, and the adapters that connect to the old fuel filter housings (DP1000 spin ons?) that allow for spin on filters. After reading and researching it looks like a very common upgrade is to remove the CAV filters and add the spin on adaptor - however all of the sites links that I have tried in the posts are no longer viable. Therefor I am not sure if the DP1000 is the correct part. Can anybody confirm this for me? This seems like a good option, even if short term as I like the Fleet guard system in the article I read on Seaboard Marine website. But for now, if I can find the spin on adaptors I'll start with that.
Below is a pic of the DP1000- but nowhere can I find confirmation that this is the correct adaptor
Thanks!

I scrapped the whole OEM filter system on my Lehman 120 and used one like this/many similar options. Parker makes a similar one with a push button primer right on the housing. Yes.... I had to modify the mounting bracket... a small piece of scrap aluminum solved that issue in about 15 minutes.

Sold the OEM set and recouped some of its cost.

Davemwd- did you successfully install the spin on adapters? I have the Lehman 120s on a 1981 GB and wanted to do the same.
Any pics of the completed install.

Not yet, it's going to be awhile. I literally just bought it and haven't completed the paperwork for the sale. Should have it by end of month. Then it is being hauled out for some maintenance- then the engine! when I do I will post some pics.
