- Wendon Skylounge 72'
One of the most painful situations to observe when watching folks docking, is to watch capt/crew shouting instructions at each other, leading to rising tempers and misunderstood instructions, and occasionally damaged boats and lost equipment.
Having just this week sadly sold my Wendon 72' am selling this top performing capt/crew communication system. Eartec is the top-rated full duplex tool for docking and close-quarters maneuvering. This set comprises a Master headset and two Remote headsets. All three communicate with each other without pressing any buttons. Single ear muff leaves one ear free to monitor ambient noise (a dockhand calling for a line for example). It is accompanied with charging docks for 4 batteries (3 included) and a smart zippered case.
When we upsized from our Bayliner to the 72' this was essential to communicate from the helm to the crew helping with docking. As we became more comfortable docking, its use changed somewhat, it enabled inexperienced guests/crew to join in the docking etc. chores while enabling the skipper to give clear directions. Still later it enabled my grandson to take the helm in the Skylounge while I instructed him from a distance, giving him confidence and pride.
This set cost $660 (Incl Sales Tax) and is for sale at $350. It is in perfect condition.
Location is Tacoma/Gig Harbor, WA
