I've just received pictures of a fire at Garden Bay with several boats destroyed. Is this old or breaking news?

Tom:
I just checked our YC Web cam at the Garden Bay outstation. As of 15:55 Tuesday Feb 15, no sign of any issues. If/when that cam is updated I will let you know if there is anything visible from the West end of Garden Bay, looking East.
What is your source?

From prpeak.com "In his email, Peifer stated the marina was full, with 90 boats on the docks when the fire started. He confirmed that none of the boats were “live-aboards” as the resort does not provide that type of moorage.

He noted that the three boats destroyed were all approximately 35-foot power craft and that a 40 foot sailboat also involved “is close to a write off”. His best estimate is that “total loss and recovery costs will reach $800,000," but that the marina docks suffered remarkably “minimal” damage."

That Marina is actually at 4686 Sinclair Bay Road, in Duncan Cove, 2 bays west of Garden Bay, so my YC WebCam will be of no assistance.

Keith (oops, I see you posted same info)
Pictures from Facebook and the recent "Coast Reporter" are the sources. It appears to have been quite a conflagration with three power boats and one sailboat involved. The fire brigade did a great job, battling the blaze for 4 hours. No liveaboards are allowed but 90 boats were in the marina areas.
