Completed the installation of my samson post on my 1997/350.
Attached pictures are of
The backing plate in the drop down section of the ceiling over the head of the bed. This required cutting a 12"x4" opening to install the backing plate for the 2 front bolts at the base of the samson post. The opening will be covered with a flat led light panel. Picture to follow
Second is the backing plates in the anchor locker/box for the 6 bolts on the upright portion of the samson post.
Next is the threaded deck inserts embedded in thickened epoxy. These are for the 2 rear base bolts. Clearance is so tight between the bottom of the deck and the ceiling that a backing plate could not be installed. When using the 1-1/2" hole saw the pilot bit went through the ceiling. I had to remove the pilot bit drilling the second hold.
Lastly is a picture of the stainless steel inserts I installed in the deck. They take a 7/16x14 stainless bolt.
