The 210hp Cummins 5.9 is not a turboed engine. The turboed and aftercooled 5.9 can run up to about 370hp. The 210hp is and natural engine.
My Cummins 210s are turbocharged, but not aftercooled. Hp above 210 are aftercooled. It`s the plus of the Cummins 210.

Not quite. The 210hp 5.9 is a Cummins 6BT. Turbo, but no aftercooler. The naturally aspirated 6B is only rated at 120hp.

Interesting, my current boat has a pair of Cummins 5.9 engines with turbos. The mechanical surveyor stated they are 210 HP. It's hard for me to understand how a natural CAT 3028 10 liter natural aspirated engine and a Cummins 5.9 liter natural aspirated produce the same HP at the nearly the same RPM.

Edit: I see BruceK and rslifkin already addressed this. No need for me to jump on the pile.

The usual Cummins 210 hp is the 6BT 5.9 which is a turbo engine but not aftercooled.

I couldn't quickly find a solid reference for the HP of a natural 6B but I think the marine versions are typically 115 HP.
Not an expert on the duty ratings so there could be some overlap between a High Output natural and the turbo.

Edit to say sorry to pile on. Not sure how I missed the later messages - still learning the system here I guess.

My understanding is that the Cummins 5.9B, when naturally aspirated, produces around 135 hp. The 210 hp version is turbocharged, ergo the designation 5.9BT. The aftercooled version is of course the 5.9BTA, and can indeed produce a lot more Mister Eds, depending on how it's tuned.

I think you had the misfortune of being post #30 which is the end of page 1. People keep reading to that post and thinking it is the end. Then making a reply before seeing all the posts on page 2...
