Trawlers are not really popular in Europe, most boat shows have the fast boats like Fairline, Princess, Beneteau, Cranchi, Azimut, Absolut etc. Every now and then you will find a Grand Banks, but that is about it. We were on Boot 2025 in Dusseldorf last week, no trawlers present.
The Dutch boats are mostly for the inner waters, built of steel, I would call them cat C or B at most.

and other small shipyard

Beneteau, Absolute and Hardy are not really trawlers, they are all planing boats which can have a long range if you go slow with them, but they are not displacement boats.
In a way it is also logic that you won't find a lot of trawlers in Europe. Especially the boats in the Med belong to owners from other countries who only have 2 or max 3 weeks holiday. So they fly in on a Saturday, want to go somewhere fast, they are not interested in going around at 5 to 6 kts. On top of that, they like to be in marinas or ports in the evening, not at anchor. When we come with our boat in an anchorage 90 % of the boats are sailing vessels and then there are a few motor vessels. Many times we are the only motor vessel in the anchorage. In all the years that we have travelled from Italy to Turkey we have seen perhaps 2 or 3 trawlers. Once that was a Fleming and so far that has been the only Fleming we have seen in the Med.
After I bought our Defever in Greece there has not been a single Defever on the market in Europe, to me that is telling. I also follow the broker market and there has been a trawler for sale in the area of Split. Beautiful boat, but there was absolutely no interest at all, was for sale for many years.
In Spain and Portugal there are a few more trawlers, which are used by expats as a live aboard vessel in the marina. You can clearly see these vessels never leave the marina, which is a pity.

Last week at Boot Dusseldorf I visited the Beneteau Swift Trawler 54 and must say I was pleasantly suprised. It was hull nr 1 and Beneteau has clearly improved the design of the Swift Trawler. Much better and more clever use of the available space, great access to the ER, good range, perfect live aboard vessel.
