While enroute from Portugal to Scandinavia this summer, we called in at St. Peter Port, Guernsey after crossing the Biscay from Coruna, Spain. The main Victoria Marina was full so we were directed to raft up to a free floating/anchored pontoon in the tidal part of the harbor. At the pontoon water was available but no electricity.
The next morning I checked with Beaucette Marina located on the northern end of the island which had a landlocked berth available to us. So off we went, not knowing how narrow the entrance is. Entering the marina is further complicated by a concrete wall that forces an entering vessel to make a sharp port turn before finally getting into the sheltered marina. We entered at slack high water and very little wind.
I believe this is the marina where Piers keeps his Play d'Eau. Just can't imagine how he could enter his marina in northerly blow.

14. Play d'Eau was not in. Staff said his berth was in the background
