Hi all!
We had our boat up on the hard all winter. The glass was perfect when we left her in November or so. When we got back in May the 3 front panels looked like the pics. We thought it was pollen when we first came to the boat. Anyone from NC knows about the green pollen in the spring that is so annoying!! The side panels and curtains that go to the top aft deck were all perfect! We have tried Eisenglass cleaners, never have used anything that wasn’t specially for this type of plastic. We have no idea what happened over the winter. Anyone have any suggestions or experience with this? Really don’t want to replace it, as it’s only about 2 years old. Thanks for any help!!

The first thing I would try is Sumner 210. It is a spray on wax that is very easy to use and restored some very cloudy eisenglass on a previous boat of ours. It didn’t make the panels like new but they were quite old and it brought them back to acceptable. I get it on Amazon. It is quick and easy to use. Much easier than all of the other cleaners I have tried in the past. Forgot to say clean the panels first to remove anything that can scratch the panels. I use boat soap and a soft Shurhold brush. I only use clean diapers to polish the panels. Diapers that only get used for eisenglass.

Looks to me like lots of water spots. Assuming NC it's salt water carried by the Wx. You might try vinegar on a small are to see if it removes the spots. Cloudy is different and usually deterioration. Is your boat stored on the hard or in water with canvas in place all winter?

Clear will do that if you don't put something between the sheets when stored. Moisture that can't grt out. Lay them in the sun, or try a hair dryer, usually comes out.

I wouldn’t use vinegar on plastic. I use vinegar like a natural acetone. Yes on glass, no on plastic. Plexus is my favorite for eisenglass and acrylic. I would start with this and then more aggressive products if it doesn’t work.

Thanks for the reply!! The boat was up on the hard in a boatyard all winter. So strange that the side curtains didn’t do that. Just the front over the flybridge. But the boat wasn’t facing the water. The starboard side was. All that plastic is perfect! So strange!
