We have just learned that Diesel Don, the well known diesel mechanic from Scottsboro Alabama has passed away. He died on his boat anchored off Ft Walton Fl, while on his way to the Bahama's for a long planned vacation. He was well known to travel all over the country to fix boats and was the best for Detriot diesels. He will be missed by the boating community, a super nice guy.

I did not know him at all but my sympathies go out to his family and friends. It is always a lump to hear a family member has gone.

I recall reading many of his posts, and appreciated his advice. May he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear - don't want to talk bad about the deceased, but he would not honor his warranty on the work he did on our transmission about six years ago.
