Hello all, since 2 jears our boat Pontus, a Swift Trawler 52, is in Palavas-les-Flots. We live in Antwerp, Belgium and because my wife and I we still work, we only have vacations to spend on our boat. Also we have 2 small dogs and therefore our daily cruising time is limited up to approximately 10 hours or 70-80 nm
Most of the harbours don't take reservations during July and August, so it is possible in the evening there is no port to stay overnight so anchoring is in order.
From July 18th we plan to cruise a part of the Mediterranean, direction east (Nice, Ventimiglia, San Remo).
Because of we only have 3 weeks and the weather on the mediterranean can change quickly, we don't know where we can get.
Are there some other ships/Trawlers, (French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Belgian or other) cruising in that area and which we can meet and cruise some days together?
Also appreciate comments and advice.
Best Regards,
Ania & Henk

You could try asking on YBW ForumYBW Forum
There would be quite a few British and European boaters who cruise or are based in that area, and active on the forum.

Thank you Papik!
you are in the Mediterranean as well?

Be aware because at this moment the coastal region is suffereing a heatwave of up to 41 degrees celsius. You can always moor free in any French port for 2 hours in the middle of the day, its the French obsession with food.
To cruise the Mediterranean you need to leave at sunrise and be in port by mid-day, then check the forecast for the afternoon. Another option is to come inland at the Etandg du Thau and over to Aigues Morte and up the Rhone a short way or you could go West towards Gruissan, Port la Nouvelle and down along the Spanish coast to Rosas. We go out to sea and that is a favourite run down along the coast.
Our permanent mooring is inland at Narbonne but your height blocks you from the canal system.
