- 1970 Willard 36 Trawler
A fellow cruiser in Chiapas was cleaning out his spare parts and I couldn't resist buying his Comnav 1001 Autopilot. The fluxgate and main contro box appear new - no scratch marks on mounting feet. Distribution box has some discoloration from use.
Included are items in the attached pictures:
- C12 Motor Controller
- Distribition Box
- 1001 Controller Head (no mounting hardware)
- Compass
- Used Comnav Reversing Pump (no mounting hardware - this is included 'free' and obviously used - no idea if it works but the owner said it was fine when removed))
NOTE - Almost all trawlers will require a Rudder Feedback Unit and Linkage that is NOT included. The Comnav unit is around $600. You will also need to make-up cables to the main controller (see attached install manuals).
$1450 plus shipping. Best price I could find for the 1001 was around $3000 (plus another $600 for the Rudder Feedback unit). Control head alone is over $1600.
I am 99% sure this is fully operational but since I didn't take it out myself, I am not 100% positive. If for some reason the Comnav AP electronics do not work (pump is excluded - no representation on that), send it back within 30-days and I'll refund your purchase price plus reasonable return shipping.
I've attached the Comnav installation and operation manuals for reference.
