Good point. If I had to start a generator, that would ruin morning coffee at anchor no matter how fancy the coffee maker.
Exactly. That was one of my biggest reasons to put an inverter on the boat. General convenience was a factor, but coffee was a big one. Prior to that, I always had to wait until the admiral woke up to make coffee if we weren't plugged in, as I was worried about waking her up by starting the generator (and I didn't want to either have it running all morning or put an extra start cycle on it).
 
Now that's funny.
 
i have a brevell espresso machine and really like how simple it is. i have 4 of them so wherever i am i can make a morning 16oz moca.

We do, and it doesn`t. May depend on the "noisemaker" fitted.
