As it turns out, my wife and I will be in the Miami area 2/28-3/3 - one week too early to catch the Trawler Fest (which we will do at some point in the next year, Baltimore is closer to us so probably there).
What advice/ideas does this group have about the best way to actually get out on the water aboard one of these trawler types of boats while we're in the area? We've been dreaming a lot about what it will be like to have a bigger boat (currently have a 27 ft Boston Whaler dual console we use heavily in the Chesapeake) and what it will be like even to sleep or cook or eat on a boat vs. just day boating. Eventually we'll do an actual week long charter somewhere (probably up in the PNW; seems like there are more commercial options available for bareboat trawler charters in Anacortes than anywhere in the East) but I'm opportunistically looking for a way to scratch the itch sooner.
Any advice is welcome; thanks in advance for any insights you can offer.
