Anyone swapped out their 3-burner Force 10 range for something else?

The one in our EB47 has never been convenient to use. Lighting the burners is never consistent, especially not the oven. That and the oven heat is very uneven.

The propane hose to it from the cockpit locker is starting to look like the insulation on the jacket is failing. Before I wander down the road of replacing the hose I figure it'd be worth finding out what others have gone with as replacements.

I've not yet removed ours so I have no idea what kind of space exists under it. I know the adjacent in-counter locker/fridge have straight-down sides to port, so I'm wondering just how deep a unit I might be able to use in it's place. I'm thinking of going with a separate cooktop and combination oven setup might bring improvements, but don't know how much room I've got for the oven.

Anyone taken the Force 10 out of their Eastbay?

YES...
We are very happy with this money saving LP range.
Shellerina has a Brand New LP Range!

$500 / shipping included w/ Prime at Amazon. Good measurements info online to buy with confidence.

The only thing it did not have, regrettably, is a thermocouple sensor at each of 3 burners + oven to stop the gas flow in case the flame blew out! So, I installed a CO/Gas alarm near the stove and we are more religious about turning off the remote relay/cut off switch when not in-use.

We don't have an Eastbay, but we recently went with an induction cooktop which we are very happy with. No more propane concerns and we finally figured out how to use the convection microwave in lieu of an oven. The induction cooktop is 120 V & can run off the inverter, so we don't have to run the genset to cook. Very safe system we find.

Funny story- my force oven was not working well at all. Looked at the install manual, ( my boat was purchased new) and discovered the stainless steel plate at the bottom of the oven was never put in place properly. Set that and the oven works great. I have not had any issues with stove top burners other than when the gas is off a long time- it’s slow to light.

Force 10, in my experience has excellent tech support. Have you talked to them about your issues?

Be careful with replacing with an RV appliance. ABYC standards are more stringent than RV, in particular WRT the thermocouple or flameout shutoff that typically is absent on the RV models. A survey might flag the RV model, and the remedy would be replacement.

Not having the thermocouples does not meet ABYC standard and may be an issue at a survey and possibly effect insurance coverage. It may be worth investigating further.
