Cat 3208 270 vs 370hp swap

Hi asking for a friend has 270 ser#75v6022 arrangement 8n2543.and I found a 370hp will the 370 drop in?

It should. The mounting parts are pretty universal. The big difference is the lack of after cooler on the 270. I assume you mean 375 HP, I don't recall a 370 HP version.

It will fit the footprint, but make sure raw water intake and exhaust plumbing are up to spec of the new motor.
If the additional horses are going to be utilized, running gear may need upgrades as well.

They use the same water pump and exhaust elbow, Should all bolt right up.
