I recently bought a Mainship 36 Nantucket and....long story, need to rebuild the engines. I am ready to take them out, but can't figure out how to get the inside sliding door to come out. The outside door is out, but the inside door has a bracket or stop right in the middle of the track that I can't understand how to get out because either way I slide the door, I can't get access to that piece and the door won't come out without it being gone. Anyone know how to do it?

There is a piece of aluminum angle riveted to the bottom track that prevents the fixed panel from being removed easily. It is hidden under the fixed panel. I really don't understand it's purpose as it doesn't keep it fixed in the standard position but just prevents its removal. Get a bottle jack and some sections of 2"x4" and lift the center of the flybridge up about 3/4" and you will be able to lift the fixed panel free of the channel

What GDavid said, that's what I did
