Canadian boat license changes $24

An updated Bureaucracy, the boat license on any boat with more than 9.9HP engine will cost you $24 every 5 years. Currently free. Fines for non compliance too.
Of course this is intended to clear up who owns derelict boats. Now I wonder if all my sold boats had the new owner name updated on the license. The seller does not get a copy of that update Read MORE HERE

Should you have a dated Bill of Sale that describes the vessel in detail, lists the price, is signed by both parties at the time of sale and you made the corresponding bank deposit, you don't really care if the owner licences the vessel or not. That is on the new owner.
