Any reviews of union City Yachts?
How to insure a valid transaction with an online broker in Canada?

I purchased a trawler that was listed with United City Yachts, Mason Hihmey from Ottawa being the broker that I worked with. Every aspect of the whole process was handled efficiently, fairly and professionally. He even volunteered to fill in when the training captain was unable to conduct the training session. I have no reservation with recommending him and United City Yachts.

I had an awful experience with United City Yachts. The particular broker I was dealing with on an offer wasn't there very long after I walked away from the deal. The boat listed with another broker the next summer.. As the owner was also not happy with the broker.

Currently in the process of buying from Mason Nihmey at United City (he's the seller's broker). Good impression so far. He's professional, responsive. Will know more over the next few months.

United City Yachts
United City Yachts are above reproach as Boat Brokers, Adrian (The owner) is a Great stand up guy that has great Integrity and is completely Trustworthy. He has bought and sold a number of vessels for us, and he and his team have always been beyond reproach. He sold our Mainship 390 to a buyer in New Jersey and helped them get it registered in the US and de registered in Canada. He is however a very tough negotiator and works very hard for his clients, if United City had not brokered my Mainship it would have cost me thousand's, and the end result was the buyer got a great boat at a great price and we walked away worry free with what we needed to move on.
