Hello,

I am getting ready to replace all cables. I would appreciate your recommendations as to the best source and type of cable. I was told to get the thinnest cable possible. One recommendation was Panish cables but I cannot find their website. So I am looking for a good source.

Removing the cable from the Controls will not be easy as the screw holding the oblong end (that screws onto the cable) is really tucked in beneath the controls.

Thank you in advance.

Glendinning makes really nice control cables and they are great to deal with. Rick Panish works at Glendinning and is an excellent resource. I had to relocate my Glendinning synchronizer during a repower and Rick was able to give me some good guidance on control cable and tachometer cable lengths and routings.

I like the Dometic/Sea Star/ Morse 33c Supreme Cable. Readily available from many sources, smooth and every size

2nd for Glendenning

I've used the black jacket Teleflex Xtreme cables and been happy with them as far as smoothness. I'd trust Glendenning to supply good cables as well.

Thank you very much to all that responded. I researched every option mentioned above. I was curious as to why the Rosemarine green cables are so much more than other options. I am always looking for better performance stuff. At the end I settled on Glendenning as I also needed 2 cables related to the Synchronizer.

Thank you all again,

About 2 decades ago Rosemarie was at the Chesapeake Watermen Show. They had a control cable wrapped in 3 or 4 circles around 18" in diameter. You could slide the threaded end with two fingers in and out. That sold me. Don't know what the core or cable are made of, don't care. Happily used them for around 10 years on my charter boat, before I sold the boat.
