Alwood Application Process?

The primer is not a reducer. You shouldn’t need a reducer.

I have 5 years on my Awlwood. Every year there are some minor repairs, usually because water found a way under the Awlwood. I have suffered the same issues with other products. I was planning to strip and recoat at year 7. Now I am thinking I only need to continue the repair process to keep everything looking good.

The above is great info. I used it on our cap rails and after about 18months in the hot Queensland semi tropical sun it`s loosing its` gloss. Absolutely no chipping or flaking though. New to freshen it up.
What is the process for this - sand down (120?) and a couple of coats?

Just a quick sand and add another coat of gloss.

Some like to add a coat of gloss every year just to have that super shiny finish. Too much work for me. If it wasn’t for seagulls dropping shells on my boat I wouldn’t have to do damage repair half the time.
