Hello All,
I purchased the Actisense USG-2 USB to Serial Gateway to communicate to my rs232 Airmar Weather Station.
I have wired up the Actisense and I am still unable to communicate to my Airmar (via WeatherCaster, which is running on windows 10) or see any NMEA sentences through (Actisense NMEA Reader).
My current setup with the Airmar using rs232:
• Airmar
• Wired to a rs232 9pin breakout connector
• Plugged into a rs232 to usb cable
• Plugged in and communicating to a Rasbperry Pi
With my current setup, my Rasbperry Pi is able to see the Airmar NMEA sentences, but my computer (when using WeatherCaster) is unable to see the Airmar. It does not appear there should be any difference, the Airmar just pushes out data via its serial usb wiring. Is there something different?
With the USG-2 Gateway the setup is:
• Airmar
• Wired to USG-2 Gateway
o Port 1: Yellow = RX Out
o Port 2: Ground
o Port 3: White = TX Out
o Port 4: Ground (Jumper wire to Port2)
Is this wiring incorrect? (I have tried numerous variations, no success). I do get an orange blinking light on the gateway (indicating the computer is communicating to the gateway), but I do not get a green light (indicating the Airmar is communicating to the gateway).
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
