$750 ELCI vs FREE GFI

I currently have a 50A 120/240 V shore power line that is fused with a 3 pole 50A regular ( NON- ELCI ) circuit breaker. A friend has offered to give me a 50 A 120/240 V Equipment Ground Fault circuit breaker which is a 30ma breaker as opposed to the 5ma GFCI household GFI. This breaker is a 2 pole breaker with the neural pig tail wire. Can I wire this breaker in series with the 3 pole breaker to add leakage protection? I do not have an isolation transformer. $750 vs Free.

Yes, the 30 mA trip setpoint is the same as the ELCI and there's no problem putting it in series with the existing breaker.
