We close on a Jefferson 42 this week. She needs a swim deck. Anyone have blueprints or any idea the measurements. Any ideas on DIY project or salvaged from another Jefferson. Any help would be appreciated.

I suggest calling Butler Marine, NJ. They will build you a beautiful teak swim platform to your specs and can provide the appropriate mounting brackets as well. Maybe not the cheapest solution but not crazy money and the quality is definitely there. They may have the template for your boat bug if not they have a measuring methodology for you to use that is pretty easy. Been there, done that!

There are companies that do swim platforms. The first two that came up on a search:

About the last thing I'd want is teak on our boat. Nice to look at, on somebody else's boat. :)

Where are you located? I have a 1989 Jefferson 37 Sundeck. The previous owner had a swim platform installed on the boat. I still have the Name of the company and the cost in my records. I purchased the boat out of Sea Bright, NJ, but don't remember exactly where the company was from. Let me/us know if you want the information.

Replaced old with new from plasteak. Not a difficult DIY job if you can access the transom to install backing blocks.

Welcome aboard. Congratulations on your new boat. If I were starting from scratch I would do a fiberglass platform not teak. Our last boat was teak everywhere, our new boat has no teak and I absolutely love it.
