Roughwater made a great value-oriented Ed Monk Sr. designed boat. The forum police might want photos, location and asking price. Others will be interested in seeing what you have. 40 years of living aboard and cruising is a Great run. You have been fortunate brother.

Excuse me but this sailer is a woman and actually it’s 42 year livnigaboard without a stop. I’m the captain. Many many stories from Baja to the Broughtons.

Gonna take you a while to get your dirt legs back eh?

All the best!

Can't wait to read about some of your stories. This sounds like an interesting life. I know one woman in Olympia, WA that lives aboard a 41 ft Roughwater. Her name is Candy and she drives a purple Jeep.

Well, here's a CL ad for a 1983 R41 in Friday Harbor (Seattle area). Presumably the OPs boat. Current asking is $69k.

I like the R41. Almost bought one as my first liveaboard (ended up with a Uniflite 42). Layout is unique and interesting. Watch out for plywood superstructure.
